Just like in previous years, also this time Leipzig Games Convention will be haunted by The Witcher together with CD Projekt RED crew. Similarly to previous years there will be gallons of blood – this time drawn from monsters found in The Witcher: Enhanced Edition – gallons of sweat spilled by brave RED workers, and gallons of beer served to guests visiting our stand :) The location hasn’t changed as well – you’ll be able to find us in Business Center, which is open only for media and business clients.

So far The Witcher was present at the convention as an unknown game which gradually became more and more recognisable. This time CD Projekt RED will present The Witcher as the game which won over 90 awards, and the shops will be enriched with its improved and extended version – Enhanced Edition. What can you expect? You can expect everything :)

The key product presented by CD Projekt RED will undoubtedly be the Enhanced Edition, which is the final, the best version of the game available in rich, exclusive edition containing lots of bonus materials. The game itself has been enriched with many improvements, both technical and graphic, thanks to which the gameplay became even more pleasant and smooth. Among others, we changed facial expression system, we added over 250 new animations and recorded 5.000 dialogue lines anew. We’ve also worked out original system of diversifying and colouring the characters, thanks to which the world of the witcher became even more original and diverse. The improvements did not omit the technical side of the game, thanks to which we managed to shorten the loading times, and the stability is better than ever before.

That’s not all that guests will be able to find at RED’s stand. Part of presentation will be devoted to web browser child of CD Projekt RED and on2tribe – The Witcher: Versus. Versus, formerly known as DuelMail, is an extremely addictive on-line browser game, in which players from all over the world can fight duels winning glory, gold and defeated enemies’ respect. For a month now, http://versus.thewitcher.com is the place of bloody duels between witchers, sorceresses and frighteners. Additionally, the game is still being developed, with upcoming events for players as a proof for that.

The guests entering our stand will see not only CD Projekt RED logo, but they will also definitely notice logos of our good friends from Metropolis and Gog.com. Their presence is connected with presenting the latest action game by Metropolis, demonstration of which should attract big group of people (it all will be behind closed doors, however). Whereas Gog.com will present its new games-on-demand platform, thanks to which the players will be able to purchase the best PC games of all times for little money.

Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany – which is held on 20-24 August – has already earned the status of the biggest and, at the same time, the most dynamically developing trade show in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. It’s also the meeting place for three various groups – game developers together with publishers, media and the players themselves, who can directly learn about the novelties from the world of virtual entertainment. To cut it short, Games Convention is the meeting place for all people from the business – from chairmen of the biggest game studios to video games enthusiasts.

Since 2002, Games Convention is a perfect opportunity for the players to learn the titles to come, take part in impressive shows, but also to simply entertain themselves – from bungee jumping to quad rides. Everything for everyone.

- The presentations will be devoted to both The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and browser game The Witcher: Versus created in cooperation with one2tribe.
- In 2007 there were 503 companies present at Games Convention (in 2006 there were 374)
- The number of business clients reached 12.300 in 2007, which is an increase, as in 2006 there were 8.700 of them.
- In total 185.000 people connected with video games business visited GC 2007.
